While Richard Stromberg was Program Director, the Chicago Photography Center was included on the coveted Chicago Reader's Best of Chicago 2008 list as a "Best Kept Secret."

The Best in Chicago
With tribute to the dedication and help of many hard working volunteers:
- CPC received "Best of" from Chicago Magazine, while Richard Stromberg was Program Director
- CPC received "Best of" from Chicago Reader, while Richard Stromberg was Program Director.
Now, Richard Stromberg and many of the same volunteers are at Richard Stromberg's Chicago Photography Classes, with workshops, classes, studio lighting, darkrooms, computer labs and Epson and Canon inkjet printers.
The most learning for the dollar of any other photography class in Chicago.
