Basic Camera Overview, Operation, and the Principles of Correct Exposure

Often imitated but never equaled, Richard's weekly free 90-minute workshop was designed a few years ago to teach people about their cameras and allow someone a picture of what Richard's classes are truly like. Starting every Sunday at High Noon, this energetic 90 minute workshop will keep your attention. A free notebook is provided for you to take notes. We include Photographic Thinking in all of our programs, the only accent here is on learning.

No Camera, No Worries – We Have More Than 20 DSLR's To Loan Out.
And Take Advantage of Our Free Camera Buying Service, So When You Do Buy a Camera You Make An Informed Decision.

Workshop on select Saturdays and each Sunday Starting At High Noon (12 PM)
Free Parking

If you have a new Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera, need a refresher or have never attended a photography class, you should attend this workshop.

If you are thinking of purchasing a Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) or Film (SLR) our camera experts will help you to understand what is important and what's not important in a DSLR or film SLR Camera with interchangeable lenses. We know where the best prices are in the country, and if you want to save some money and buy a used camera, we know which ones to stay away from.

You will learn basic DSLR camera operation: an overview of your camera controls, use of your camera's exposure meter, a discussion about which lens is the best value. No worries if you have a film camera because those cameras age covered as well. Be sure to bring a camera as well as your camera manual if you have one. If you do not have a camera, don't worry, be happy, a camera will be provided for you to use during the workshop. Compare us with others and decide for yourself if Richard's photographic thinking and 40 years of teaching makes a difference.
