A Three-Session Photography Workshop


This three-part workshop complements Nelson Armour and Ted Glasoe’s exhibit, “Surface Tension: Beauty and Fragility in Lake Michigan,” featured at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum from January 21 through April 16, 2017.  Nelson is an “alumni” of Chicago Photography Classes.

The workshop will address the art of landscape photography and Includes two classroom sessions held at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Session One will discuss the art, process, techniques and equipment. Session Two will be an outdoor, early morning photography shoot at the Magic Hedge Bird Sanctuary at Montrose Harbor.  The final session will focus on post-production processes and beneficial approaches to peer critique. A DSLR (digital single lens reflex) or digital mirrorless camera is recommended. (Note: this class is not designed for iPhone photography.)
